🔥 What We’ve Been Up To
On Patreon:
We’ve kicked off our Bread and Butter (BNB) series with a deep dive into A/C repairs—one of the four most profitable and essential services for mobile RV techs. This series will cover A/C, Furnace, Water Heater, and Fridge repairs. Our latest video walks through how to offer rooftop A/C service with the right tools, training, and tips to help you confidently add this service to your business.

🛠️ RV Tech Tip: Anode Rods & Your Water Heater
Suburban water heaters use steel tanks and require anode rods to prevent corrosion.
Atwood/Dometic units have aluminum tanks and do not use anode rods—installing one can cause damage.
💡 Pro Tip: If your RV water smells like rotten eggs, switching to a zinc rod may help.
🔧 Quick Check Steps
- Turn off power/water
- Relieve pressure
- Remove & inspect rod
- Replace if worn (<½”)
- Use Teflon tape on threads
- Flush tank to remove sediment
